David D. Bovett
David D. Bovett has been a
Workers’ Compensation Judge for seven years, after a number of years in
practice in workers’ compensation. He is currently assigned to the Stockton
District office where he has held the bench since his first two years in the
crucible of Van Nuys.David G. Marcus
David G. Marcus maintained a
broad-based civil and workers’ compensation practice until his appointment
as a Workers’ Compensation Judge. He served at the Los Angeles District
Office of the WCAB from 1997 through 1999, and at the Van Nuys District
Office from 1999 until his appointment to his current position as Presiding
Judge of the Los Angeles office in June 2001. Judge Marcus is a frequent
speaker at workers’ compensation meetings and seminars and is a member of
the Board of Governors of the Conference of California Workers’ Compensation

Newman
Richard L. Newman worked for the
U.S. Department of Labor and in private practice following graduation from
Hastings in 1981. In 1991 he was appointed as a referee to the Division of
Workers’ Compensation, where he later worked as supervising counsel to the
Administrative Director. Since 1995 he has served as a Workers’
Compensation Judge in the San Francisco District Office.

(Ret.) Sheldon St. Clair
Sheldon St. Clair was appointed associate counsel to the then
Industrial Accident Commission in 1964, and Workers’ Compensation Judge of
the WCAB in 1966. He served as Deputy Commissioner of the WCAB in San
Francisco from 1970 through 1974. He then served as a Workers’ Compensation
Judge, assigned to the Van Nuys office of the WCAB, from 1974 through 1994
when he retired from state service. He now serves as a neutral in workers’
compensation arbitrations and mediations. |
